Zanzibar White Sand Luxury Villas & Spa
Let’s take them in order. The sands are indeed white, gradually transitioning to lush tropicalia as one proceeds inland, passing eleven roomy villas along the way. Size and privacy are the keywords here, enough that a freestanding outdoor tub and a private pool can be comfortably concealed. Then there's the spa, which takes full advantage of locally sourced products, incorporating seaweed, coconut, and Zanzibar’s renowned spices into its treatment offerings.
It’s a safe bet those figure large in the cuisine as well: Doors to Zanzibar plates poolside Tanzanian fusion with delectable emphasis on the hotel’s own organic fruits and vegetables. The bars present a narrative of sorts — start with cocktails and snacks on the beach, transition to the lounge bar for a second act, then perch yourself at the rooftop champagne bar for a sunset to write home about. And come sunrise, an impressive slew of activities awaits at the hotel’s own watersports center, Zanzibar Kite Paradise, a subtle nod to the region’s ideal kitesurfing conditions.
How to get there: Zanzibar White Sand Luxury Villas & Spa is just over an hour's drive from Zanzibar International Airport.
Please note: Zanzibar White Sand Luxury Villas & Spa is a small property with only 11 rooms.

most of the staff were extremely friendly, the butler service was excellent. the rooms and the gardens are very well appointed.
White Sands is by far the best beach hotel in Zanzibar. Top notch service, beautifully appointed rooms, and wonderful location in Paje. The staff is always friendly and ready for anything you may need. The rooms are spacious and quiet. We had a half-board package and it was perfect for us. The breakfast was hearty and dinner delicious. Always a plethora of options. We loved that we could choose from the three course menu or the a la carte as part of our package depending on our mood that evening. The beach is beautiful and very, very big. At low tide, you would have to walk for ages to reach deeper waters to actually swim. But it is perfect for those interested in learning to kite surf. They have a surf shack on property where you can sign up for private classes. The water is so flat and shallow that beginners were having a great time trying their hand at it. We actually wished we had a few more days to give a proper go!
A fabulous hotel with the best service on one of the nicest beaches of Zanzibar.
