Decu Downtown
Visually it’s an inspired blend of classic colonial-era architecture and modern design, and there’s a sparseness and simplicity to many of the spaces that feels almost Zen, though never overtly Eastern. The suites, too, contain plenty of only-in-Mérida detail, alongside modern furniture and luxurious comforts — high ceilings and capacious bathrooms lend them a resort-like aspect.
An idyllic outdoor pool and a lovely courtyard garden provide outdoor lounge space, and there’s a rooftop lounge as well. Spa services are available upon request, and Decu Downtown’s restaurant goes far beyond what you’d expect from an eight-suite hotel, serving finely crafted local fare alongside a selection of inventive cocktails.

Guest Score & Reviews
Our 20-point scale is based on post-stay ratings from verified MICHELIN Guide guests. This feedback is important, and plays a role in helping us decide whether or not a hotel should remain in our selection.

It’s a beautiful historic property. Central location which has its gives and takes. Close to some of the more attended restaurants and bars. Gets a little crazy in the area on Saturday night. Pool and garden area are lovely. Controlled access front door which requires a ring in. Parking next door but it’s an unaffiliated place. Street parking nearby is easy too.
