The Soho House brand, as you might suspect, was born in a more central neighborhood. But in the intervening years, Shoreditch has evolved into London’s hippest neighborhood, a center for the arts in particular — making it an obvious choice for another Soho House club and hotel. Redchurch Townhouse benefits from a very fine location, right around the corner from sister club Shoreditch House, which is across the road from Shoreditch High Street station. Its membership, naturally, draws from the local creative industries, which means that as an overnight guest — and temporary club member — you’ll rub elbows with local artists, designers, and entrepreneurs.

You’ll be welcomed as a member, which means a low-key check-in experience and as little — or as much — attention as you require. The accommodations, in typical Soho House style, are equal parts modernist-chic and bohemian-eclectic, and range from the refreshingly straightforward Tiny rooms up to the Large, which find space for roll-top tubs. The smallest are perhaps best suited for impromptu overnight stays, but they’re more than adequate if what you want is a foot in the door and a table at Cecconi’s, the club’s famous Italian restaurant — a hot ticket, even in Shoreditch, where the competition includes some of the finest restaurants in town.
