Set just inside the city’s 16th-century walls, the hotel bridges eras and aesthetics - its 34 rooms span a whitewashed 19th-century house, concrete cabanas, and pared-back garden suites. Terracotta tiles, handwoven textiles, and custom ceramics speak to local tradition. With orchard paths, a vegetable garden and salt air drifting in from the coast, Casa Mãe offers a slower version of southern Portugal.
