Most Balinese boutique hotels offer, in addition to a bit of relaxation, a wellness program of some sort: a spa, a pool, maybe a bit of yoga. REVĪVŌ, however, goes all the way. This brand-new boutique resort, in the hills on the fringes of Nusa Dua, features fitness offerings and spa treatments to rival the best on the island, as well as a single-minded focus on restoration — the name means “I’ll live again,” and a stay here is practically guaranteed to revive you, whether through relaxation, movement, nutrition, or a combination of the three.
Of course, simply as a lodging, it’s inspiring enough. The suites are large and luxe, with plentiful indoor and outdoor space, some with private gardens or courtyards, others with 25-foot swimming pools. The style is contemporary Balinese, combining traditional architecture and modern finishes. And the two villas take things to the next level; each one comprises four suites, and stands on 4,000 square meters of private land, including a full-size swimming pool.
The spa, as promised, is not just attractive but absolutely state-of-the art, and the restaurant, bar, and poolside lounge serve Balinese and international fare that’s not just delicious but nutritious as well. And the fitness program is as complete as any we’ve seen, in Bali or elsewhere, featuring a yoga barn, a Pilates studio, boxing, TRX, and traditional gym equipment, and offers programs ranging from drop-in classes to two-week boot camps. If this doesn’t bring you back to life, there’s a good chance nothing will.
