Hacienda Vison Hotel
Farm 4, 672-1 Vison, Takicho, Odaicho, Japan
6 Rooms
Modern Design & Quiet
Hacienda Vision Hotel takes its name from the traditional farmhouses, or haciendas, dotted around southern Spain, but its style is anything but rustic. The clean geometric façade hides just six guest rooms, each inspired by a prominent artist or designer and filled with mid-century style furnishings and collectibles.
One lovely addition is the central kitchen, which replaces the usual hotel restaurant and where guests can gather to watch a local chef in action, or get hands-on themselves with a cooking class. The hotel sits surrounded by its own flower and vegetable garden, and there’s no shortage of things to do nearby, from visiting the Ise Jingu Shrine to walking the ancient pilgrimage routes known as Kumano Kodo.
