Cannúa Lodge
The lodge’s ten rooms and eight free-standing cabañas are modern in style, though suitably rustic in their materials, and all of them look out through vast windows at a far-ranging view of the Valley of San Nicolas. Basics like wi-fi and private bathrooms are present as a matter of course, and the contrast between the clean-lined, loft-inspired design and the natural panorama outside is nothing short of breathtaking.
It’s not just environmentally sustainable but socially sustainable as well, with authentic connections to the local community; in addition to a modern Colombian restaurant, serving dishes crafted from ingredients grown in the hotel’s own permaculture garden, there’s a spa and a number of excursions, from birding to hiking to coffee and chocolate tasting.

The location is beautiful with sweeping vistas of the surrounding countryside. It is surrounded by a garden from which ingredients for much of the food is gathered. There were various courses and hikes that you could do in the hotel, such as a class of Rum which I partook of and thoroughly enjoyed. For a long weekend it’s the perfect spot to chill out and forget your city life
