It’s more than a rock, but not much more — Saba Rock Resort stands on a tiny speck of an island in the North Sound of the British Virgin Islands, a location that makes it a popular meeting point for sailors, divers, and all manner of seafarers. The original resort has been replaced by a modern nine-room boutique hotel, a surprisingly intimate set of accommodations given all the activity at the waterfront and in the hotel’s open-air restaurant and bar. It’s a private-island experience but a social one, and a surprisingly affordable one at that.
