Airelles Saint-Tropez Château de la Messardière
The sprawling swimming pool in the central courtyard is alone worth the price of admission, and though the beaches and legendary nightlife of Saint-Tropez proper are easily accessible, there’s something to be said for the quiet seclusion of the Château’s location.
Rooms are located either within the original chateau or in the surrounding villas of the estate. In keeping with the location, the décor is bright and breezy, in pastel yellows and oranges, with Italian-inspired terracotta floors and cozy canopy beds. Spaces are generous, from twenty-five up to forty square meters. Private terraces or balconies overlook the gardens or the vineyards, and the best rooms and suites have views of the sea, both from the terraces and from the bedroom windows.
The Trois Saisons restaurant is open for dinner, serving Mediterranean cuisine with a sea view; luncheons and light meals are taken beneath the parasols on the pool terrace. St. Tropez offers its fair share of culinary options, as well as a wealth of shops and boutiques, and when you’ve had enough of the crowd, a shuttle service is available 24 hours a day for the return trip to the Château.
