Charleston at its best is pure Southern elegance in Technicolor, and so is the Bennet, from its rotunda, bedecked with murals, to its salmon-pink Champagne lounge and its spectacular sky-blue rooftop bar. It’s a new build, though its style is a perfect match for its setting, right on Marion Square in the heart of town. The rooms dial down the saturation — they’re as heavenly as clouds, and just about as soft. From here, all the best of Charleston is right at your feet, though some of it is inside the hotel: the self-explanatory La Pâtisserie and the French-influenced Gabrielle restaurant are among the highlights.
