The vast estate that is home to Gondwana Game Reserve contains what feels like several hotels in one: a central lodge with 14 satellite suites, multiple semi-permanent tented camps, a couple of freestanding three- and four-bedroom villas, and the ultra-luxe Ulubisi House, which sleeps up to eight and comes with its own butler, chef, and guide. The landscape and the wildlife, naturally, are the main attraction — the animals wander freely, and are likely to surprise you when you least expect it — though the lodgings are stylish and comfortable enough to make the experience memorable for all the right reasons.
