MICHELIN Guide’s Point Of View

The first-generation owner-chef opened this restaurant specialising in onigiri in 1954, seeing an opportunity to do business using rice. The only offerings are onigiri and miso soup. The wide range of fillings includes salmon, okaka and Kishu sour pickled ume. Warm Koshihikari rice cooked in a broad-brimmed pot is wrapped in Edomae nori so that customers can enjoy that delicious freshly-prepared taste.
