Jupiter NEXT
It’s an unapologetically contemporary structure, towering over its mid-century counterpart just across the street. Its height affords it unparalleled views of the city, especially in its west-facing rooms, and its modern construction allows for generous floor plans and rooms that are as luxurious as they are stylish.
And we do mean stylish. Though it’s a move upmarket, Jupiter NEXT hasn’t lost touch with its origins. Raw concrete and mid-century modernist–inspired furniture lend the building its boutique-hotel good looks, and the lobby’s central staircase, by local fabricator Sol Creations, seems to float on air.
Where the original Jupiter has the rock-and-roll Doug Fir Lounge, NEXT has Hey Love, which is part café, part cocktail lounge, and serves a menu of “tropical-inspired comfort food” in a retro-styled space that’s open from late morning through to late night.
The bottom line: if the original Jupiter is exactly your jam, you might find NEXT to be a touch on the fancy side — but if you’ve caught yourself wishing for something slightly more luxurious, then this one is right up your street.
