LuganoDante takes the second half of its name from the poet Dante Alighieri and its inspiration from the Divina Commedia, with nods to the famed work dotted throughout the property. It’s both an attractive, playful boutique hotel and a thoroughly capable business hotel; the interior “green area” is an Edenic little escape. It’s also got a luxurious air about it, not least in the accommodations, which are thoughtfully furnished and crisply stylish in shades of blue that nod to the nearby Lake Lugano. And in Flamel Restaurant & Mixology Bar you’ll find the hotel’s social heart, and cocktails that pay our homage to French alchemist Nicolas Flameland a menu whose flavors combine Italian and Mediterranean influences.
