Modern Design & Lively
With a name like Le Meridien Hong Kong, Cyberport, you’d expect this place to be wired to the rafters. And you’d be right. For those who are unfamiliar with the ins and outs of the Hong Kong–area IT industry, Cyberport is essentially a new purpose-built high-tech district on the south side of Hong Kong island — so if you’ve got business in this part of town, Le Meridien Cyberport is a natural choice.
The modernist design, then, is less about high-fashion boutique-hotel hipsterism, and more about updating the high-functioning business hotel for the 21st century. Furnishings are clean-lined and contemporary, panoramic views are just about universal through floor-to-ceiling windows, and the electronics, predictably, are state-of-the-art.
In the bathrooms Le Méridien Hong Kong, Cyberport crosses over into traditional luxury-hotel territory, with contemporary fixtures and Malin + Goetz bath products, and the pool, spa, and fitness center provide the expected good old-fashioned physical comforts. If you’re in Hong Kong to see the sights, be warned, you’re a good 20 minutes outside of town — but if you’re here on Cyberport business then this is your high-tech home base.
