Behind the classic façade of this historic hunting lodge is a surprisingly modern hotel; even the lodge rooms, with their exposed timbers, are sleek and contemporary in aspect. The grounds are substantial, and the estate, still family-owned, includes a lovely outdoor swimming pool. Not to be missed is the Michelin-starred restaurant, presided over for two decades by chef Franck Quinton.
