Douce Steiner and Udo Weiler's hotel-restaurant is housed in a picture-perfect building that dates back over 500 years. It boasts a charming, elegant dining area and friendly, attentive service. Windows allow a glimpse into the kitchen, where the chefs create a five- to seven-course set menu that takes its cue from the seasons. In doing so, they draw on classic French influences and use regional produce wherever possible. Ultra-fresh langoustine royale, for example, is elevated by the subtle contrasts provided by a combination of red Kampot pepper, pink grapefruit, olive oil and basil. To round out the set menu, you have the option to include classic extras such as foie gras or frogs' legs. Tip: Leave some room for the wonderful selection of small treats to go with your espresso.
