Bib Gourmand: good quality, good value cooking
Having made a name for itself decades ago, this restaurant is a local institution. It specialises in both fine dining and traditional Swabian fare that is made with high-quality ingredients, delicious and reasonably priced. The Maultaschen are a standout. When it comes to meat products, they have their own on-site butcher shop to fall back on. The specials, which change every day, are especially popular. Although dominated by regional selections, the wine list also boasts a range of Bordeaux, including some iconic names. Tip: Pick up some soups, sauces, sausages and meats from their shop. The ultra-modern apartments in the annexe are ideal for long-stay guests.
