Four Seasons Hotel Mumbai
Here it should be noted that contemporary isn’t the same as avant-garde. The stone-clad lobby is impressive, almost monumental, but in subdued, natural colors. Upstairs the guest rooms avoid both colonial clichés and Taj Mahal kitsch, but they’re definitely not cutting-edge — the interiors take a back seat to the views, especially if your room faces the Arabian Sea, and the focus is on the creature comforts: marble baths with separate soaking tubs, oversized LCD televisions, all the usual five-star trappings.
The location, in the southern Worli district, means many business travelers will find it ideally placed. But it’s not all about work. The spa covers two whole floors of the building, and if you can’t find relaxation there, or in the Four Seasons’ daily yoga sessions, then we don’t know what to do with you.
How to get there: Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport is 20 km (12 miles) and approximately one hour by car from the hotel, while Santa Cruz Domestic Airport is 15 km (9 miles) and approximately 45 minutes by car from the hotel.

High standards, clean, comfortable, good central location. Wifi in the hotel cars. My favourite hotel in Bombay.
Very good service. The only hotel I have ever stayed in where the fellow carrying my bags to my room pointed out the fire exit as we passed it. This tells me that the hotel takes safety very seriously indeed, whereas in most hotels in India I have always got the sense that safety is not as high a priority as it should be. The rest of the service was also very good. The atmosphere of the hotel is great. And the hotel cars have wifi inside them - fantastic. And and - the wine list in the main restaurant is one of the best I have experience in India, and they can make whiskey sours with Canadian whiskey. All in all, very very good. There was no messing about with bureaucratic data entry to get online with wifi. And the hotel laundry puts collar stiffeners into one's shirts as part of the service.

The level of service is simply amazing. From the airport pick up, to check in and check out. Staff is friendly and attentive. Very helpful with tips of local things to do. Even though they are not a tablet member, they gave me an amazing upgrade with the most beautiful sunset from my room
