Kolm Sõsarat: Where One Family’s Traditions Touch the Hearts of Many

Charmingly run by three sisters, Michelin Green Star restaurant Kolm Sõsarat in Lüllemäe, southern Estonia, honours practices passed down through the generations, yet successfully brings them into the present day.

Kolm Sõsarat is a truly charming restaurant that sits in the remote village of Lüllemäe in southern Estonia. Its name means ‘Three Sisters’ – you’ll find Kadri tending the kitchen garden, Kerti preparing the dishes and Triin looking after the service – but their wider family are also involved, with the superb honey coming from their father’s long-established hives.

Living hand-in-hand with nature comes naturally to the family, who take time-honoured practices passed down through generations and bring them into the modern world. Around 80% of the top-quality ingredients that feature on the menu are grown in the garden behind the restaurant or foraged from the forest, with any bio-waste either fed to their chickens or composted and returned to the soil.

This is a place that touches the hearts of many, with guests returning time and again to share in the passion of the team, who go above and beyond to care for every visitor who walks through their door.
