Bib Gourmand: good quality, good value cooking
A lively, informal restaurant serving authentic Japanese cuisine with some more modern twists, at moderate prices. You can watch the chefs at work as they prepare sushi rolls, yakitori or gyu don. At lunchtime, the food is served in bowls; in the evening the presentation is a bit more elaborate. In summer, the terrace in front of the building makes for a lovely spot. Tables are much in demand, so book early! The establishment also runs a takeaway right across the street.
