The name "Tannay" is a reference to chef Thomas Demuth's birthplace. In fact, his parents still own a vineyard there, and some of their labels feature on the wine list. The French chef has set up shop on Realeneiland, in a building on a corner plot. His restaurant boasts a picturesque waterfront terrace and a romantic decor. Under Alain Caron's mentorship, he crafts familiar dishes that showcase his intimate knowledge of classic French cuisine. Options range from beetroot prepared in various ways with a rich Nantua sauce, to wild duck in puff pastry, and the time-honoured hare à la royale. The ingredients speak for themselves here.
