Riad Camilia
Two rooms and four suites is just about as small as riads get, and each one is entirely distinct in décor, though they’re all roughly equal parts Parisian- and Moroccan-inspired. A good riad feels like a private residence, and Riad Camilia certainly is that — there’s plenty of privacy, and many of the units can be combined for families or larger parties.
It’s set in a residential neighborhood within the medina, which means it’s within walking distance of most central destinations. Facilities include not just the usual courtyard nooks but a couple of plunge pools, a rooftop terrace, and a hammam as well. And like the best of them, Riad Camilia excels when it comes to a lavish and festive dinner service, featuring traditional Moroccan flavors tailored to guests’ personal tastes.

The decor at the hotel is exceptional. From the moment you step behind the steel door it was a calming oasis scented with orange blossom. The antiques, bedding, fireplace, flowers and lighting are some of the best I have ever experienced. With just 5 rooms and few guests you truly feel as though you are staying in a private home of your friend or favorite aunt. The food and breakfasts were delicious and our evening tea and afternoon drinks on the roof at sunset were beautiful. The hotel was so accommodating and every need was met. Every restaurant and store suggestion was great. We loved the location and every time you went out at night security walked you to dinner. We never felt unsafe. I will send every friend we have there

Compared to all the luxury establishments in Marrakech (and in Marrakech there are plenty of grand dames), I would always choose to stay at Riad Camilla. It is truly a hidden gem with exceptional service, unique design, beautiful rooms and spaces. Situated in the heart of the medina, one feels as if they live in the city, rather than are visiting it. The General Manager provides extremely attentive and customized service to the clients. Her recommendations are on point and atypical. We will be returning!

The staff were the best part of the hotel experience because of their superb hospitality and genuine kindness. The rooms were also a great experience because of a comfortable bed and great shower, but also because of the unique Moroccan decor and vibes. There was no question in my mind that I was in Marrakesh every morning when I awoke. An honorable mention goes out to the rooftop which is well appointed and provides guests with beautiful views of the city.

Beautiful, traditional moroccan decor. Our room was large and well equipped. Valeria, the manager, was lovely and super attentive to our needs. She helped with taxies, directions and restaurant reservations. The whole staff was friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay! Great place to stay if wanting to be in the Medina.
