Two MICHELIN Keys · An exceptional stay
Its exterior is somewhat nondescript by local standards, but it’s what’s inside L’Ermitage Beverly Hills that matters. It’s returned to its roots as the only independent luxury hotel in town, and it remains the quintessential Hollywood insider’s hotel — and it’s designed to be at its best when you’re inside looking out. This means discretion, this means privacy, and above all, this means the intimate scale of a boutique hotel; with a little over a hundred suites, it’s not the sort of place where you’ll feel overlooked — don’t be surprised if the staff knows your name and your preferences, down to the smallest detail.
And those interiors! The glamorous mid-century style is perfectly tailored to Beverly Hills, with Venetian cut-glass mirrors and hues of champagne and metal. The Studio suites spare nothing in their pursuit of comfort, and each of the four Residential suites feels like it could be a Hollywood mogul’s private home.
There’s a spa that’s suitably lavish for a hotel this close to Rodeo Drive, featuring partnerships with Ricari Studios and Joanna Czech, and the yoga and fitness studio will have you in shape for your next superhero film in no time. Meanwhile the hotel bar is adorned with framed pages from screenplays that just happen to have been written here — The Godfather, The Graduate, Good Will Hunting, no big deal — and Costa Covo Osteria is the coastal Italian restaurant that any decent Beverly Hills hotel ought to have. Just try to keep your cool over dinner — discretion is expected of the guests as well.
Please Note: The rooftop pool is currently closed until November.
