The third Ned hotel and members’ club, joining the original in London and the sequel in New York, finds itself in Doha, Qatar — not the most obvious choice, to be sure, but you can’t argue with the results. It’s set in a building of some distinction, a former government ministry right on the Corniche, and after its renovation by the Soho House braintrust it’s a properly stylish luxury boutique hotel, one that’s miles hipper than just about anything else in the region. Enticements include no fewer than seven restaurants, including Cecconi’s and Malibu Kitchen, and the pool, lined with cabanas, is the place to be seen at midday.
