Rio Celeste Hideaway Hotel
The casitas’ interiors are quite a bit more elegant than the ordinary Costa Rican eco-lodge, and they’re surprisingly spacious as well. Some look out over the rainforest canopy from wraparound private decks, while others feature terraces that face the hotel’s gardens; all come with outdoor showers in addition to lavish modern bathrooms.
On site there’s a spa, a riverside yoga platform, and an open-air restaurant accompanied by two bars, one of the swim-up variety. Tempting as it might be, though, you’re not meant to remain on the hotel grounds for the entirety of your stay — the surrounding nature trails, the Rio Celeste itself, and the hot springs that surround the Arenal volcano are all worth tearing yourself away for.
