Caravan by Habitas Agafay
The Explorer Tents are the most minimalist option; televisions are absent, though there’s solar-powered lighting and a stone patio with a mountain view. The three flavors of lodges are a touch larger and feature more permanent construction; some come with private decks or stone terraces. There’s nothing ostentatious about them, though there’s certainly nothing rough about them either.
A pair of swimming pools, a small spa, a yoga pavilion, and live musical performances are among the on-site diversions, though the real focus, naturally, is on getting out into the desert, whether on a bike, a horse, or a camel. And the experience wouldn’t be complete without a very fine introduction to Moroccan cuisine courtesy of Olivar, the camp’s open-air restaurant.
