The name is a plain description of the three Provençal farmhouses that make up the Relais des Trois Mas — left unmentioned is the dramatic setting, on a rocky cliff overlooking the Bay of Collioure. The rooms and suites are contemporary in style, and display Catalan fabrics — here you’re less than an hour’s drive from the Spanish border. A lovely garden and pool make for fine relaxation, and the relais would be capable of standing on its own; further motivation comes in the form of the Michelin-starred Restaurant La Balette, where Laurent Lemal serves Catalan-accented fare with a phenomenal view.
