Traditional Elegance & Lively
Bank Hotel’s proprietors are justifiably proud of the 1910 bank building their hotel calls home, but they’re playful enough to name one of their restaurants after a bank robber (Bonnie Parker of Bonnie & Clyde fame). The interiors are a beautifully realized marriage of the building’s classic inheritance and Stockholm’s modern design sense, and though the smallest rooms are small indeed, they’re all impressively luxurious. The city-center location places guests close to many of the capital’s finest arts and culture institutions, as well as no end of restaurants — and the hotel has several of its own, including the Parisian-style Le Hibou, a rooftop bar with an impressive view.
