Contemporary Classic & Quiet
One MICHELIN Key · A very special stay
The village of Puligny-Montrachet is most famous for its association with the Montrachet vineyard, one of Burgundy’s most prestigious Grand Crus. And while there’s no such thing as an appellation d’origine contrôlée for hotels, it’s no great stretch to say the COMO name carries a similar cachet — the name behind some of Asia’s finest resorts, as well as a couple of London’s top luxury hotels. COMO Le Montrachet occupies four stately 19th-century buildings at the heart of the village, enough space for 28 rooms and suites plus all the requisite ultra-luxe comforts.
Inside, designer Paola Navone’s work is true to the historic setting, but is less a faithful reconstruction and more a stylized tribute. Even the Petit Clos single rooms are luxurious, and the two-bedroom COMO Suite spans some 70 square meters and is equipped with its own living room and dining room. The restaurant serves an ever-changing menu of seasonal French classics, accompanied by bottles from the extensive cellar. Tastings, too, are available on site, both in the hotel’s cellar and in its wine bar, and tours of the surrounding wineries may be arranged as well.

I loved everything about this hotel. Even the food was one of the best I’ve had in Bourgogne. The staff was super helpful in a medical emergency, went above and beyond. We had room 310 with a really great balcony, fantastic! They even fulfilled the Tablet priviledges :-)

The hotel and the rooms are absolutely fine for the reasonable price, slightly more functional than decorative. The restaurant is very good and has excellent staff attending to the very large and reasonable wine list.
