In true country-house style it remains small; no outbuildings or cottages, just six bedrooms in the main house, each one leaving intact the historic architecture and floor plan, decorated in a near monochrome that’s soothing to the contemporary eye but which is anything but modern. Some feature distinctive vaulted ceilings, a detail that’s characteristic of Puglian construction; the Architect’s Suite is, perhaps unsurprisingly, the most stylish of the bunch.
Breakfast is served in the garden alongside an orange grove, with a light lunch available here or by the poolside. If you’re on site in the afternoon, an aperitivo is a must, and if you reserve in the morning there’ll be a table waiting for you at dinner as well.
Critabianca is open from May to October.

Nous avons été superbement accueilli par la famille GHIONE ! Ils sont d'une hospitalité, d'une gentillesse rare de nos jours.. Leur propriété est magnifique, le jardin, les arbres fruitiers tout est très bien entretenu, le service impeccable et mention spéciale à Moussa pour sa cuisine, gâteaux du petit déjeuner.. Nous avons eu la chance également d'apprécier un dîner lors de notre premier jour, tout était parfait et "spéciale dédicace" à Alessandro qui nous avait choisi une musique "romantique" et qui nous a régalé tout au long du séjour d'anecdotes historiques sur la propriété et la région..Nous reviendrons certainement et aurons plaisir à recommander cette splendide demeure à nos amis.
We were absolutely charmed by this hotel. From the moment we arrived and were warmly welcomed by our hosts we felt at home and completely relaxed. The grounds are beautiful, the rooms cool and stylish, and the location convenient for exploring Puglia. But it is the family who run the hotel, their incredible hospitality and quality of the food and service that took our stay to another level.
This is the most beautiful hotel, the decor, the design, the rooms, the food, it was all amazing. But not only that, the owners made the stay even better. They greet you and take you in as if you were part of the family. Roberto and Roberta as the sweetest hosts ever. We booked the cooking lesson for 2 with Moussa, he is the best, he explained everything thoroughly and patiently. Then we got to eat our food, it was delicious! We have told our family, friend, and everyone we know what a great place this is to visit. We would 11/10 recommend this hotel !
