Verno House
26 Október 6. utca, Budapest, Hungary
50 Rooms
Modern Design & Lively
The Verno House is a conscious tribute to an earlier version of Budapest: the cosmopolitan city of the late 19th century, a prominent fixture in European art, science, culture, and politics. In its aesthetics, however, it’s no retro reconstruction, but a historically informed contemporary tribute — and ultimately what’s important is that it’s a hotel that’s positively overflowing with character. The in-room comforts are substantial, and while many of the details are unmistakably modern, others, like the bedside telephones, feel achingly nostalgic. Meanwhile Flava, the restaurant and bar, throws a curveball with its Mexican-inspired menu.
