Uma Estrela : uma cozinha requintada
In the small but pretty old town, the restaurant, rooms and bistro (open for lunch) are housed in a period building, the interior of which retains all the charm of the past. In the kitchen, Uroš Štefelin offers three tasting menus – with five, seven or nine courses – which can be selected at the time of booking. Regardless of the number of courses, the gastronomic journey focuses on local produce and recipes, reinterpreted with a contemporary sensitivity.
"The restaurant works with local farmers to rediscover forgotten dishes and ingredients and develop new traditional products. They jointly plan crops, complementing those from their own gardens and greenhouses. The project also involves individuals with special needs, who create ceramics and paintings and are part of the team, working in the kitchen too. Guests arriving by bike or public transport are rewarded, promoting sustainable mobility."
