This lively and friendly rustic-style wine bar is run by the same team as neighboring Joe Beef. On the menu: fine wines and small plates to share in a convivial atmosphere (allow three small plates per person for a full meal). The menu evolves in step with the whims of the young chefs. One of the signatures that never leaves the menu, though, is the Petite Bourgogne ham, cured and sliced by hand, topped with grated aged Gouda cheese. The beef tartare combines candied artichokes, fried rosemary, and lemon zest. Many of the dishes feature vegetables with astute seasonings, such as celery root topped with a savory bagna cauda sauce. This authentic restaurant charms you with its cuisine as much as its avant-garde wine list, which is dedicated entirely to biodynamic and natural wines.
