This building has a long history. Built in 1320, it was originally part of a monastery – Stift St Florian. Today, it is home to a charming and elegant restaurant with a lovely vaulted ceiling. The kitchen serves a modern take on classic cuisine. In addition to two set menus with four to seven courses, there are daily specials. Standout dishes include "Irish rock oyster with a clear Bloody Mary and celery stick", sweetbreads with pimientos, chipotle and lime, and Wiener schnitzel with potato salad. Everything is prepared using select ingredients. To complement the food, there is a fantastic wine list comprising over 2 100 labels. The champagne and Veltliner selections are especially enticing.
