Although not quite the impossible-to-book hotspot it was at its peak, this lively spot still has plenty of enthusiasts. Combining Californian technique with the flavors of Chef/owner Ravi Kapur’s native Hawaii, this airy space is known for strong cocktails and shareable plates. Pivoted around a large, open kitchen, the dining room hums with groups savoring the likes of halibut kinilaw with macadamia nuts and scarlet grapes, or fried game hen with sweet & sour glaze. If you turn your nose up at Spam, consider sampling the house-made version, featured in a dish of kimchi and mushroom fried rice.
