Clinging to a hillside above Sorrento’s waterfront, the Hotel Bristol makes the most of its view, facing across the bay towards Vesuvius and the city of Naples; the hotel is strewn with terraces, balconies, and bay-facing picture windows. Behind its understated exterior is a hotel decorated in a lively maritime style, with rooms ranging from smallish-but-stylish to the extravagant suites in the detached Villa Bianco. The swimming pool benefits from the same far-ranging view, as does the bar’s terrace and the three restaurants: two elegant dining rooms and one, La Pergola, in the open air on the rooftop.
