The iron and copper grilling plates behind the counter spark interest. Ask him and the owner-chef will tell you that he installed them to study how they heat different ingredients. He does not just grill the ingredients, but puts his own original touch on them. The diverse menu includes homemade satsuma age, omelettes and tonpeiyaki – cabbage and pork wrapped in an omelette. Standard offerings to end the meal after you’ve tried several snacks are okonomiyaki and stir-fried noodles, as you would expect in Osaka.
