Communal Hotel Sololaki
Communal Hotel Sololaki’s accommodations are divided into three sensibly named categories: Cozy, Large, and Suites. All three are cut from the same stylish cloth, combining saturated jewel tones and a varied collection of 20th-century furniture and design objects, from Art Nouveau on through to mid-century Modernism. The feel may be retro but they’re functionally quite up to date — each room comes with an iPad that’s yours for the duration of your stay.
A generous Georgian breakfast is served around a communal table, though if you’re in a private mood, you’re welcome to receive it via room service. And while there’s no bar on premises, there’s no shortage in Sololaki in general — and on your way out you’re welcome to avail yourself of an incongruous taste of Florence via the hotel’s Negroni trolley.
