MICHELIN Guide’s Point Of View
This remarkably chic and modern restaurant is housed in the pretty half-timbered building of the long-established Birkenfelder Hof. It is an ideal setting for casual dining, which is the name of the game here. The atmosphere is also suitably relaxed, and the waitstaff are experienced and friendly. The ambitious modern cuisine draws on French, Mediterranean and regional influences, and incorporates the odd Asian touch. The menu includes dishes such as Kikok rooster breast with a Madeira jus, pumpkin curry cream and pak choi, plus classics such as roast beef or burgers (only on certain days).
