The husband-and-wife team have previously managed a fishmonger and a caterer. As a discerning connoisseur, the chef’s ability to source great ingredients is impressive. The menu, written in a beautifully flowing hand, is crammed with a rich miscellany of fish. Many of the patrons are regulars, freely ordering snacks and nigiri with cups of sake; they drop in for friendly conversation amid their daily lives in this intimate restaurant with its congenial atmosphere, a radio playing in the background.
