Enthusiastic owner-chef Mathieu Guennal runs this pint-sized downtown eatery single handedly. He works with local producers (chalked up on the blackboard), rolling out soul-warming, heartfelt nosh, as good as it is unfussy. Diners choose from two enticingly priced menus: one with a terroir focus (époisses tart, beef bourguignon, blackberry-laced cream dessert), the other changes weekly. Take a seat and soak up the friendly, casual atmosphere amid wooden floors and a raftered ceiling in the company of a generous chef.
