Contemporary Classic & Lively
Though fast-growing Bangalore is India’s third most populous city, you’d never know it from the views at the Hyatt Bangalore MG Road. More than just cityscape fills the windows; here, you’ll also see huge swatches of verdant umbrellas and the deciduous and flowering trees that help give the area its “Garden City” nickname. Among the guests, you’ll likely see the IT hustle and bustle that have helped earn the area another appellation, the Silicon Valley of Southeast Asia.

The tidy property mostly caters to those seeking out aspects of the city more closely related to the latter moniker, rather than the former. Business, not pleasure, reigns. As such, the Hyatt tends to rely on its location as an accent, as opposed to a bold statement — a quilt in silk-and-sequin patchworks, for example, provides a burst of color in an otherwise tan-and-ecru room. The on-site restaurant pairs northern Indian specialties with an extensive list of wines from around the world. Occasionally a Sufi band plays, further mellowing the already relaxed atmosphere, due, no doubt, to the restaurant’s location overlooking Ulsoor Lake. At night, another band plays the rooftop lounge, giving guests another option for resetting and recharging their batteries.
