Six Senses Con Dao
As these kinds of resorts go, Con Dao is fairly large, but with personal butler service offered in each of its fifty villas, the experience can be as private as you’d like. Airy interior spaces are lined with local teakwood, equipped with canopy beds and a smattering of unobtrusive furniture, but for the most part remain uncluttered and spare. An open-plan, indoor-outdoor design maximizes air flow, corralling the breezes from the East Vietnamese Sea. Standard single-level villas provide more than enough room for couples, while the four-bedroom duplex can accommodate large families with ease.
Dining at Con Dao is all about personal taste every step of the way, from preparation to consumption. If you’re on vacation for the express purpose of being pampered, your butler will deliver your meals and let you enjoy them in peace. However, if you’d like to add your own ingenuity to the wealth of locally sourced meats and vegetables, feel free to elbow up to the table alongside the chefs at daily cooking classes. Then, take your creation down to the beach for a truly one-of-a-kind moonlit dinner.
How to get there: Con Son Island, which hosts the Six Senses, is around 230 kilometres, or 145 miles, from Ho Chi Minh City and is served by Co Ong Airport. It's a 45-minute flight by Vietnam Airlines from Ho Chi Minh City. Kindly note that in some countries you may need a Visa to enter Vietnam. VIP service can be arranged from the Domestic Airport to the International Airport in HCMC.
