It bears repeating that Chef/owner Craig Richards' Lyla Lila is a good find in the heart of midtown. Sharing a contemporary design with a darker, moody color palette, the restaurant is divided into several rooms, starting with a handsome curved bar up front and a sunlit dining room further in. The kitchen follows the seasons and puts pasta as a key focal point. House staples include crispy duck lasagna with a cocoa béchamel, as well as roast chicken or snapper with pistachio pesto. Everything is scaled for sharing, down to dessert. Rotating flavors of gelato and sorbet or perhaps a wedge of tiramisu will close out the meal nicely.
