Childhood friends Fabio Imparato and Alfonso Petti, both from the Italian province of Salerno, have joined forces at this restaurant not far from the lake. The two chefs have adopted a culinary style that draws heavily on their roots, serving up Italian and Mediterranean dishes (eg roasted pulpo on chicory, or braised veal cheek with polenta) in the form of a surprise set menu – at lunchtime a two- or three-course "Business Lunch", and in the evening a four- or five-course tasting menu. The wine list, too, revolves around their homeland. Plus: friendly, proficient service and an appealingly refined, upscale decor. There is a public car park just a stone's throw away.
