Benny and Katrijn are full of ambition, which you will appreciate as soon as you step foot in their restaurant. The cheerful lady of the house greets and seats her guests, suggesting food and wine pairings. The chef crafts modern cuisine, which is best described as fresh, subtle and beautifully plated. Examples include pigeon breast, cooked rare and then finished on a barbecue to give it a subtle smoky edge, paired with the meat of the legs stuffed in cabbage leaves, salsifies and a knockout sauce made out of the cooking gravy. Markt XI is truly a blue-ribbon establishment!
