The name of this restaurant occupying a large 18C house is deliberate as it reflects the professional relationship that chef Eduardo Quintana once had with cycling. This is highlighted in the saying by Albert Einstein at the entrance (“Life is like riding a bicycle – to keep your balance, you need to keep moving”) which influences his general attitude to life. It boasts a pleasant patio-terrace, where guests can savour appetisers, plus an attractive rustic-retro decor inside. The cuisine, which is particularly focused on locally sourced seasonal ingredients, is centred around three tasting menus that combine classic and contemporary techniques: La Grande Boucle, La Grande Boucle Extended Version (both with a wine-pairing option) and, by pre-order, a vegetarian/fish/vegan menu. For an even more comprehensive experience before you eat, why not visit the garden which is just 1km away (it’s not a bad idea to take another pair of shoes just in case!).
