The guest wing of a 17th-century château just outside of Le Mans has been transformed by its new owners into an intricately detailed and deeply atmospheric 13-room luxury hotel, a boutique-sized operation with all the antique charm of a true castle hotel. La Groirie benefits from its placement on the castle’s grounds, of course, offering guests plenty of picturesque space to roam, including a lovely swimming pool, and the château itself is available for tours. The surrounding area is amply supplied with excellent restaurants in addition to the famous racing destination that is Le Mans itself.
