The Auberge Resorts Collection is best known for its Californian resorts, but its portfolio reaches all the way to the Northeast, to Los Cabos, and now to Punta Mita, just up the coast from Puerto Vallarta. The site, and specifically its stunning expanse of beach, came first; and the evocatively named Susurros del Corazón expertly adapts Auberge’s tastefully luxurious approach to its Pacific Coast setting. The spa is particularly expansive, as are the cascading, terraced swimming pools; opportunities for exploring the coast and the nearby islands are practically endless, as are opportunities for sampling the local culinary traditions via the resort’s multiple restaurants.
